Weapon – Zero Tolerance
- Knives, scissors, ice picks, guns, razors, broken glasses are strictly forbidden. Possession of, use of weapon, or cutting tools, threatening with/without weapon will be treated as a major offence. The possession of weapons is a criminal offence which be brought to the attention of the Police and be treated accordingly.
- Accumulation of MORE THAN THREE (3) suspensions, including internal and external interventions, within a school year can result in an expulsion.
- Physical assault is unacceptable. Students responsible for assaulting another student/s will be suspended.
- Assaulting any member of staff is a serious offence and may be referred to the school’s Board of Governors immediately.
- Extortion is a criminal offence and is strictly prohibited. Students caught extorting will be reported to the Police and suspended immediately.
- The use of indecent language as well as loud and boisterous behaviour will not be tolerated. Students should not shout or make noise on the corridors, in the classrooms, or on the compound.
- Rude and insolent behaviour to teachers and other members of staff, student leaders and other students will not be tolerated. These offences will be treated as major incidents of indiscipline.
- Students must observe silence in the silence zones. These zones are around the Administrative Block, Staff Room, Examination centres, Nurse’s Office, Library and all classes in session.
- Students must be polite and courteous at all times.
- Vending on the school compound among students for personal gain is strictly prohibited.
- The tidiness of the classrooms and their surroundings is the responsibility of each member of the school community. Chairs removed from a classroom by students should be returned immediately after use. No chair or desk should be left on the outside of classrooms.
